Health Data Science and E-Mental Health

Our lab is committed to improving our understanding of mental health and substance use, and to improve the care we provide, through innovation in the field of mental health systems. Our main areas of focus are: the design, implementation and evaluation of digital tools to deliver evidence based interventions; the use of machine learning tools to improve our understanding of risk and the design of personalized responses; and leveraging natural language processing to develop unstructured interfaces between users and bots.
